COVID-19 Update - IHR Offices Temporarily Closed

IHR offices in Chicago and Oakbrook, IL, and in Valparaiso, IN, are temporarily closed. We will continue all other services by phone or online.

You can still call us at 312-288-6420, email us at info@infertilityIHR.com, or contact us via our web-portal.

Dear IHR Patient,

This is an update to keep you informed on how IHR is addressing the Coronavirus pandemic. These are uncertain and challenging times for the world, our country, our community, patients, and staff. Our hearts go out to the many people and families that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Be assured that we are doing everything we can for IHR's operations to remain as uninterrupted as possible. As always, we translate our values into actions that define us; caring for our patients is our top mission, and your success and safety are our own.

Obviously, it is not business as usual. IHR has revised its activity constantly in order to provide you with the safest care possible and to better protect our staff. While we tried to remain open for business in order to help you to achieve your family goals, since Illinois is now under a “Stay at Home" policy as of 3/20/2020 (currently until 4/13/2020)*, our offices in Chicago and Oakbrook, IL, and in Valparaiso, IN, are temporarily closed. We will, however, continue all other services by phone or online, such as our front desk, clinical coordination, consultation with your physician, and financial advising.

We follow the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines, which now recommend completing all ongoing IVF cycles as quickly as possible and not starting any new cycles of IVF, ET/FET, or IUI. They also urge to strongly consider canceling non-urgent tests and surgeries. With the implementation of the “Stay at Home” policy in Illinois, we unfortunately have to temporarily close our offices (currently until 4/13/2020)* for personal tests and consultations, and to switch to phone/online care.

We do understand our patients’ time-sensitive hopes of achieving a healthy pregnancy. Our hope is to be able to return to initiating new cycles as planned by April 8th. However, we cannot provide confirmation at this time that these cycles will commence as planned. Our team of physicians, nurse coordinators, and financial advisers will continue to work with you in preparation for your cycle, in the hopes of being able to proceed as early as possible (plan cycle, insurance verification and pre-authorization, ordering medications, signing consents, etc).

At this time, if you wish to proceed with your planned treatment and active cycle, for FET, IUI, ERA, or retrieval, please ensure you have signed the informed consent to continue treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic, which may be found on the patient portal part of our site (/consents). We apologize for the inconvenience and possible delay in treatments, but your and our staff's safety comes first. We, therefore, cannot start any new treatment cycles until ASRM will update its recommendations and the “Stay at Home” policy will be lifted in Illinois.

We appreciate your patience as we work together to ensure we are providing the best and most optimal clinical safety precautions and care.

Thank you and be safe,

IHR Co-Medical Directors: Dr. Ilan Tur-Kaspa and Dr. David Cohen
