Grow your family with embryo Donation

Embryo Donation Turning Family Dreams Into Reality

Embryo Donation & Adoption

Guiding You Through Embryo Donation & What it Involves

What is Embryo Donation?

Embryo Donation is a method to help you conceive and build the family you’ve always wanted through receiving another family's donation of embryos.

Essentially, embryo donation is when another couple’s embryo is implanted in your womb during an IVF. This is an option if you and your partner need both egg and sperm donation, or if you’re a woman who cannot use your own eggs.

When is Embryo Donation Recommended?

At IHR, our practitioners will be the ones to make professional recommendations based on your individual situation. They may consider you for embryo donation if:

  • You and your partner are unlikely to conceive using your own eggs and/or sperm for fertility treatment.
  • You or your partner is at risk of passing on a genetic disorder to a child.
  • You’re single and have gone through menopause.

How Does Embryo Donation Work?

The process beings with a doctor and is carried out in our fertility clinic. Embryos are typically donated by couples or women that have had their babies via IVF and want to help aspiring parents. The parent giving birth is the legal mother.

What’s the Process?

Embryos are transferred into your womb through the cervix with a thin catheter within a few days of fertilization. One of our IHR doctors will consult you on the number of embryos you should transfer. They'll help you balance the risk of multiple pregnancies. If all goes according to plan, an embryo will stick to your uterine wall and grow. After the embryo donation transfer, you can take a pregnancy test typically within 2-3 weeks. Don’t worry, you’ll be carefully monitored through the pregnancy process.

What Are the Success Rates?

IVF has a success rate typically between 28-35%. This is age-dependent and it also depends on sperm quality.

How Can I Find More Information?

Feel free to contact us at IHR. We’re also happy to arrange a consultation with our practitioners with you if you’re interested in the Embryo Donation process. Remember, our doctors will make recommendations depending on your situation, which may or may not involve egg or embryo donation.

Embark on Your Journey With Embryo Donation Today

Dr. Cohen and his staff were a complete blessing to our family. We just welcomed our identical twin girls this past month, and we owe it all to Dr. Cohen and the staff at IHR.

Sara

After being devastated from 2 miscarriages at a previous clinic I switched to Dr. TK. I became pregnant on my first round of IVF with him and have 6 frozen embryos.

KENDR

I am so glad my OB doctor recommended IHR to anyone with infertility issues or concerns.

Bonnie

At IHR, the nurses and ultrasounds techs and lab techs all knew me by name... I just felt like everyone there was really rooting for me.

Laura

After more than two years of trying without success, we pursued fertility treatment with Dr. Cohen.

Donna

I'm writing this review as my infant daughter naps nearby, which would not have been possible without Dr. Tur-Kaspa and the team at IHR.

JBH

I immediately felt like he was addressing ME and MY needs, as opposed to having a protocol that may have worked for the massess.

Kara

From the very beginning, we felt strongly supported and received the very best personalized care.

Lynnae

It can be overwhelming but I never felt any discomfort from any procedure I had done there and I knew each was getting us closer to our goal of becoming parents.

Liz

After having no luck on our own, a friend highly recommended that we go to IHR. I am happy to say that I am currently pregnant with my first child! I do not have enough kind words to say. Everyone at IHR was wonderful.
